Local SEO

1. Create local pages for all three search engines – You should visit Bing, Yahoo and Google and create local pages on each of them. Your main focus should be to create pages that are categorized correctly for the set keywords that will also be using. Make sure that you choose the best possible categories for the same keywords otherwise your business may not show up in the local searches.

2. Reviews – One of the best ways to bolster your local SEO strategies is to ensure that you’re receiving regular high-quality reviews from your customer base. It is important that the reviews are real because the search engines are very good at ferreting out untruthful or erroneous reviews. You should create a simple postcard and ask for customers to leave and honest (but hopefully good) review perhaps in exchange for some small discount or other bonus that you can add to your products and services. Since every local page that you create will have a place for reviews make sure that getting positive reviews are part of your marketing strategy.

3. Local Photos NOT Stock Photos – one of the top things that people look for locally are photos of the business and images that are real. Adding stock photos does not sell anything about your business and will leave people wondering if they should even bother visiting you. Take high quality snapshots of your storefront, another one inside showing products and/or services or happy smiling people ready to solve a problem.
